CAR CRASH IN LONDON COLNEY

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision which took place in London Colney on Friday, February 27.

The collision occurred at 9.55pm on the A1081 London Colney Bypass, approximately 400 metres north of the junction at the Bell roundabout and Coursers Road, when a silver Vauxhall Corsa is believed to have collided with the central reservation which then led the vehicle to collide with a raised concrete manhole.

A 15-year-old girl from London Colney was taken to the QEII in Welwyn Garden City with serious injuries. She is currently in a stable condition.

A 16-year-old girl from St Albans was taken to Watford General Hospital with serious injuries. She has now been discharged.

A 16-year-old boy from St Albans was taken to Watford General Hospital with slight injuries. He was later discharged.

The driver, a 17-year-old boy from London Colney was taken to the QEII hospital with slight injuries and was later released.

Investigating officer, PC Jenny Miller, said: “I am appealing for anyone who believes they may have seen this serious road traffic collision but were unable to stop at the scene, to call the police as soon as possible.”
